Our Story

We as a family, along with amazing friends and supporters, provide care and preserve 185 horses. We are currently the largest and oldest herd of Nokotas® in the world. For the last 40 years these horses have gone through alot. Our goal is to protect them and continue their bloodlines. This is a feat in itself. There have been sacrifices, hard times, good times, family riffs, family coming together, sleepless nights, organizations created for a purpose and then hi-jacked for personal gain by others. We will always fight for the horses no matter what it may cost us.

Even though Frank is ridden with cancer, the horses are cared for and fed before Frank’s stomach is filled. Somedays he doesn’t have much left to fill his own stomach as he provides for these horses ONLY from his disability check and social security checks.

Due to a list of unreasonable demands from the landowner, the horses are no longer able to roam the pastures they have called home for over the last 15 years. But there has always been a bigger and better dream and ending for them. This was the push that was needed. We would love to see the horses returned back to their people and connect once again. A place they can be home and a place where an interpretive center can be established so generations to come can learn about them and learn from them.
